Fishing with Charlie Nelson in the river is a sure thing. My dad, mom and I went on a day trip with Charlie. It was pleasant, the shore lunch was hot and plentiful and the boat driver (Charlie) put us on some fish. I had no idea the summertime walleye fishin was that good on the St. Louis River. What a hidden gem - both for the fishin and the guide.

For those of you who do not have a lot of time on your hands and can get away during the week, and you want a good time with a heckuva a guy book this guide early and often. He kept his promise and caught lunch and continued to find fish after lunch and showed all of us a good time.

Remember, a bad day of fishin is better than a good day at work - so go fishin.
