Walleye Fishing on the St. Louis River Prior to 1950, the Oliver Bridge had the capability to pivot at its base.  You can still see the giant gears used to swing the bridge.  This bridge has since been "fixed" and no longer pivots.  Fishing the eddies, created as the current passes around its supports, provide excellent opportunities to catch walleyes holding in the slack water.
